1Accord conferences are held to improve relations between clergy, community leaders, and policymakers. Religion, politics, and social justice are discussed as well as solutions to pressing problems of the community.
Throughout Georgia, African American students are 2 - 3 times more likely to be suspended or expelled for similar infractions than their white counterparts. Overall, Black students accounted for 37% of public school enrollment but reflected 67% of suspensions and 64% of expulsions.
